In continuing my Series on Hope I was able to talk to the founders of a new and upcoming brewery, Maplebranch Brew. Yes, they are trying to open up a brewery in the middle of a pandemic.

This conversation with Stuart and Allyssa was just a ray of sunshine. I know I have been saying this was supposed to be a series on hope, but this was the example.

So, with this series I have been interviewing people in the #dfwcraftbeer scene, but this is one where I turn the mic on me…and my wife.

My amazing wife and I sit down and talk about how we are doing, how we are coping, what we are learning from all of this and….kids. Yeah Kids.

I’ll be honest, this does not hit up the beer much, but it is as open and sincere conversation as the last few have been.

I got a chance to talk to Michael from Funky Picnic and it was such a great time. These past few interviews have had a bit more of a somber tone, but this one just had so much joy. Don’t get me wrong, we for sure shared our hearts, it was unexpectedly fun.
